Silver Lake is a deep inland lake a short drive southwest of downtown Traverse City, so you get lake life without a long commute.
The lake is long and narrow with an irregular shoreline, small points and bays, and a handful of islands. It reaches about 96 feet in its deepest hole, but much of the shore has a shallow shelf first, which you can see on the 3D map.
The lake sits across two townships, Garfield and Blair, so taxes, zoning and permits depend on which side of the line a home is on.
Silver Lake real estate runs from older cottages to large newer homes. Frontage is listed as private or shared, and every card above says which one it is.
