Janel has been selling real estate in Traverse City for 21-plus years. Taylor is her son, a professional photographer who got his license and never put the camera down. We work out of the Real Estate One office on Front Street and cover Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Antrim, Benzie and Kalkaska counties.

Twenty-one years in one market adds up to a long list of people who pick up when she calls: lenders, inspectors, title officers, other agents. That network is a big part of how her deals stay together.

Taylor was a professional photographer before he was a Realtor, and he still shoots and edits every one of our listings himself. No outside vendor, and no waiting on someone else's calendar.
He also does the research and the numbers. A lot of what is on this site, like the short-term rental guide and the Market Field Notes, started as research for our own clients.
Taylor works with investors buying short-term rentals and doing 1031 exchanges, and he owns and runs a short-term rental in Northport himself. More on that here.

We check the rules before you write the offer.
Zoning, septic, private roads, whether the place can be rented. Up here those answers change at the township line.
