6860 Peninsula Drive
Traverse City, MI 49686 · Old Mission Peninsula
A custom-built home on Old Mission Peninsula with private frontage and big West Bay views from nearly every room, five minutes from town.
A Peninsula home that is newer, generously sized, built to this standard and this close to town is hard to find. This one was designed for main-floor living.
The great room has a natural fireplace (a gas insert is available) and two stories of windows facing the bay. There is a dedicated wine room lined with custom redwood racks, and a primary suite with a tiled walk-in shower, a soaking tub and a closet with real space in it.
The kitchen has cherry cabinetry, a large granite island, and a new stainless gas range and dishwasher. Asian walnut hardwood runs through the main level, with tile in the mudroom and laundry.
The expensive mechanical work has been done. The furnace is from 2024 and carries a 10-year warranty, the tankless water heater is from 2023, and central air went in during 2025. There is a full-house generator, and the home is on municipal water and sewer.
Outside, a patio under a timber pergola looks over the water and a composite deck sits out back. There is a rock seawall at the shore, and the sun sets behind the hills on the far side of West Bay.
